Why to have Sage plant in your home ?

Sage plant is a perennial plant  having height upto 65cm.

This herbs also falls in a mint category.

It has a savory, slightly peppery flavor.

This herbal plant Sage plant is used to give flavour in hot black tea or used in a herbal beverages.

It is found that it is used to treat Alzheimer's Disease.

According to some research sage plant puts positive effects on human brain function, and shows memory improvement effect.

Procedure to sow Sage plant Seeds:

• Start sage seed indoors as early as 6 to 8 weeks before the average last frost date.
• This product requires light and at least 20°C. It should be planted at a isolated place as it grows vigorously and can spread to other plantings.
• Sage plant seeds can be sown in container and the garden soil with some preparations like adding organic manure.
• Well drained soil with organic manure is best for its growth and development.  
• Sow the Sage plant seeds about a 1/4" deep.
• Sunny days is best suitable for its cultivation of and expect it's germination after 2 weeks from sowing of seeds.
• Sunlight provision for Sage plant should be full.
• After sowing the seeds provide moderate water so that the soil gets moist only but not become soggy or over flooded.

Planting and caring

Sage plant can be grown in container through the year but in winter the cultivation is not proper.

Protect it from mildew, a dusty white  to grey coating  over the plant body.
